Interpol support band

My weblog stats show that I get regular hits from Google searches on the support band for the Interpol gig in Sydney. Strangely my site is among the top four Google search results for this query. I therefore almost feel urged to post some info on this matter; so if you came to my weblog in search of this, here’s the info:
While there were initial rumors that Blonde Redhead or the Editors might be supporting Interpol, it now turned out that they will be supported by Youth Group. I don’t know them, but the local last.fm community seems to be pretty disappointed from these news. It’s not officially announced yet, but the info shows on Youth Group’s MySpace page.

Martin, are you skipping from interaction design to music journalism. I see there is plenty of back ground information at your site and in your head. Why finalizing your PhD? come on: give yourself a “ruck” and sent your CV to TBA, Musicexpress, Rolling Stone or Fuze (some kind of akward and rare metal magazin that i surprisingly found on my kitchen table this morning whithout any idea how it got there – but thats an other story)… best wishes to sydney.
Comment by Michael January 27, 2008 @ 4:11Hm, sounds like a good idea, I’m sure writing for a rare metal magazine must be fun! But well, like I said in an earlier post, I never had the urge to become a music journalist and still don’t have. OK, right, I’ll have to consolidate myself and get my focus back onto the interaction design stuff now..! And you? becoming an enthusiastic fan of metal music…? We need to balance our research life somehow, right?!
